Wedding Parties & Family Reunions
Please understand that The Old Library Inn IS NOT a party house or a vacation rental. We are a boutique hotel with a quiet, restful, and romantic environment best suited for adults. Reserving the entire property does not permit you to treat the inn "as you will". We do not tolerate guests moving furniture, inviting an excessive amount of visitors, or any other acts that would typically not be welcomed if you were staying at a "friend's home".
We require our guests to act respectfully toward our property and our innkeepers. Our innkeepers are here to serve you. Please understand that our innkeepers are not "maids" to clean up messes left in our common areas. If you are found to be in violation of these house rules at any time during your stay, you will be asked to leave the property and you will be charged the full amount of your reservation, at no fault of The Old Library Inn.
As a precaution and to protect our investment, all reservations for the entire property (i.e., wedding parties, family reunions) are required to sign “The Old Library Short Term Rental Agreement", including a $500 deposit to cover accidental property damage above and beyond normal wear and tear. This damage deposit is in addition to the 25% room reservation deposit. Credit card information will be kept on hold and not be charged unless damages incur. If this should happen, you will be notified by phone or email. It is not our intent to profit from this policy, only to protect our investment in our small business. If there are damages to the property above and beyond normal wear and tear, the undersigned Inn Event Organizer will be held financially responsible for the balance of the cost of, but not limited to the replacement, repairs, and/or labor of damaged property.
